Sis,

We certainly had a lot of fun skiing. We were the three amigos’ raining terror down on all of the ski resorts we visited. Yes… you were correct, it was important to me to be there early so we did not have to drag all of your ski gear ½ ways up the mountain. Besides, even then it was pretty darn expensive and I want us to get your monies worth.

You endured your brother running over your ski’s, dragging you through the trees and occasionally taking you out when you least expected it. While you loudly protested, you were a trooper and somehow managed to overcome your fear to have a great time. It was… go where we went… or be left behind (she did not have a lot of choice).

Ya know what I remember most of all? Once your brother, Mike (uncle) an myself were riding up the chair lift at Crystal Mountain, at almost the worst possible spot (the highest point from the snow) your brother looked down and his glasses fell off his face and disappeared into the snow below (that was not a good thing). He looked at me first wondering if I was going to get mad and also as if to communicate in his glance the reality of the fact that he could not see without them. While we noted carefully where they had fallen, honestly… we thought we had seen the last of them. Well … much to my surprise, after we carefully navigated down into the steep ravine and after a brief search we actually found them. It turned out to be nothing more then an adventure that we will never forget and something we talk about to this very day.

Some of my fondest memories were of the three of us venturing out each weekend together. I truly miss those times and am excited to see that perhaps our family tradition will be carried on to the next generation. I true hope that you and your family have as much fun as we had. Besides … I am looking forward to skiing with the girls! Far-fig-new-gun! (Inside joke and I know that is not how it is spelled, not even spell check could help )!

Libby

was wondering if you would remember the far-fig-new-gun thing-good times, good times.

I think it's great that you grew up doing so many fun things---gold, skiing, etc.

Love the Sundance sweater too....and it would look great on you.

Will you take the big girls skiing this year?
