A Nikon D40 and a yogurt maker!!?? He really is a great gift giver!

Kim

What a neat gift. Looks like fun and nothing beats homemade. I so admire your dedication to eating well. I am not so good at that :)

That is great. My sister makes it with just some plain yogurt as a starter and she makes it in the oven. Nice to see that you care that much about nutrition. Do you have any thoughts on what containers to send with kids for lunches - avoiding plastic and all?

Melissa

yeah...could your dad hire out? Awesome.

I had to comment about the agave...when we add that to our (homemade) yogurt Chan LOVES it too..better than honey even.

Allison-

Yes, the lunch containers are indeed a dilema! I have used wax paper baggies in the past with success (vs. plastic zippy bags). There are also some great non-disposable sandwhich wraps over at reusablebags.com. We love our Kleen Kanteens and SIGG water bottles over the other plastic types. Overall, my kids are pretty good about haning onto an glass dishes that I put food into for lunches. My friend purchased of those "laptop lunches" and was very pleased with them- they are made from "safe plastic". What about you? Any tips?

nicole

We also make our yogurt at home with a similar maker to yours...we love it with a wee bit o maple syrup too. Although I incubate mine for about 5 hours so it is less tart. enjoying reading your little blog.

Leslie

i stumbled on your blog today and i love it...that yogurt maker is my dream. The last appliance i really need.
