I am happy to say that we are done with school work for the summer- well mostly. The school district requires that I continue to show progress in the 3 R's until the end of the the school year. So, except for a short math lesson, a bit of reading, and some journal writing each morning- we're finished!
The girls and I have worked so hard to be done in time for Baby's arrival. I am proud of the work that they have accomplished. Each year gets easier.
This year we studied the medieval period of history (my favorite!!), and we capped off our year-end learning with a visit to a local Renaissance Faire over the weekend.
Drummers.
Painting shields.
Spinning wool.
The Maypole.
Quick game of checkers.
Fencing.
And some silliness.
The weather has turned, it is warm and sunny outside. I am thankful to have more time for popsicle eating, lounging in the porch swing...and hopefully, very soon, some nibbling on baby toes!!!
oh, wow, way to go, Libby the Super Mama!! :)

I have been thinking about you so much the last few days...when I saw the post title "Done! (Mostly)" I thought oh - she is in labor? And posting about it? Ack. Thank goodness you were talking about school. :) You are a super-Mama, I can't imagine teaching your girls and being pregnant all at the same time.
I have a post coming soon that links to your natural cleaning post, I will let you know when it is up. Meanwhile, eat some more popsicles and put your feet up!

Wonderful! Congrats on getting to your goal -- you and your children make a great team :).
We missed the Ren Faire again this year. We haven't made it since 2006 -- when it SNOWED on us while we walked home, lol!
